“Coach Raf” is a purple belt under 10th Planet Black Belt PJ Barch. Coach Raf has been training jiu jitsu for 10 years and truly enjoys the art and discipline of it. Both of his daughters have been training jiu jitsu between 5 and 8 years, his 17 year old is a blue belt and his youngest is a yellow belt. He truly loves teaching kids all aspects of jiu jitsu, not only the various techniques and principles but he also emphasizes the values of discipline, respect, humility, and kindness. To quote one of his mentors in regards to his class:

“There is no safe zone here for your child, here they will be pushed to the edge, they will be tested to their very limits. Your child will tap, they’ll lose, they’ll cry, they’ll want to quit, but I will not let them. Here, they will learn to overcome and they will learn to persevere. They will not only learn to fight for themselves but also for those that cannot fight. They will be molded through the fire but receive compassion and love and will learn to give that to others in return. it will be easy but it will be worth it.”
