Judo
What is Judo? Judo is a Japanese martial art that involves the ability to take down opponents who are standing up, and then pin and submit them on the ground. Judo is derived from Jiu-Jitsu, focused on throwing the opponent, controlling them, and/or submitting with joint locks or chokes.
Suitable to individuals of all ages and skill levels, Judo is a fantastic way to build strength, improve your technique, and challenge yourself in a supportive and welcoming environment. You do not need to be in great shape nor do you have any background in martial arts to get involved. You just need a positive mindset and an eagerness to learn, then you will experience tremendous results.
Judo is also a great addition to add to ANY athlete’s training, such as a football or volleyball player, as it teaches you how to fall down safely without injuring yourself.
Our Judo class is conveniently located in El Cajon and is held every Tuesday and Thursday at 9am with Coach Toby Imada – our resident Judo Nidan (2nd degree black belt) & Jiu Jitsu Black Belt.
